History
Purchased in about 1975 as 875 cc standard single carb. Installed twin carb GT motor from a wreck in about 1977. Imported full race 998cc engine from Chrysler UK in 1979. Assembled by Roy Goodman in Moorebank. Raced at Silverdale and Oran Park around 1979/1980 in minor way. Sold in 1981.
Modifications
Full race engine from Chrysler UK. Twin Weber DCOE40 carbs, extractors, alternator, electronic ignition, front disc brakes, front camber kit, Koni adjustable shocks, Huntmaster racing seats. Chrysler UK told me the engine would be good for 108 hp and would rev to 10,000 rpm. I saw 9,000 rpm through gears and 7,800 rpm in top gear. Transaxle was standard and Chrysler told me it could handle engine output no worries. Only problem I had with transaxle was the selector shaft always had small oil leak.
