History
My daughter (16 yo) bought the car for $220 off ebay. It was mostly straight but didn't run. The engine turned out to be seized. It was the dustiest car I had ever seen and I have had rally cars in the past. We bought the silver wreck for more than we paid for the sedan - $400. We pulled out the engine, did timing belt, drive belts, clutch, plugs and thermostat. We fitted the engine and it started straight away - gotta love modern cars. We put in an alloy radiator and bought a set of RX mags. We swapped interiors as much as we could and cleaned the rest. The wreck had good brakes so we swapped them over. Likewise the radio which is ipod/iphone compatible. There were a few dents so we did our best to repair and paint them. My daughter did the painting. We painted and swapped over one of the doors from the wreck. RWC was easy and once we got driving we found that a rear wheel bearing was crook so we changed both rears. We are now awaiting the next autocross where the car will be debuted by my daughter.
