History
I purchased my Vette a couple of years ago already converted to RHD. The engine and transmission have been fully rebuilt as has the suspension, brakes, electrical and more. Great reliable car and my daily driver.
Modifications
Engine has a pretty lumpy cam, solid lifters, roller rockers and a few other mods. Trans has had a few internal mods to strengthen it a bit more and shift quicker and is fitted with a 3500 stall converter. It runs on premium unleaded (just).
Over the past year I have upgraded the exhaust for a bit better performance.
I wired in a keyless entry/alarm which also opens the hatch remotely.
I drive the car around a bit and was unhappy with the headlights at night so I converted the headlights to HIDI and added led lights to replace the indicators as parking lights. Amazing difference. I have added sound deadening to some areas (under back guards and rear cargo area) more to go but a definite improvement.
My latest addition is that I installed a push button start system. No keys now at all.
I replaced the pathetic original A/C with an under dash model. Did most of the fitting myself, just had the gas removed and new unit rehashed by a professional. Car is truely cool to drive in the heat now. Huge difference. Not classic air but locally sourced evaporator etc. Excellent product.
I have just fitted a new blue LED gauge set to the Vette. Has extras such as 1/4 mile timing and 0 - 100 timing built in.
I have used this vette as a great learning tool. Some of the systems I have installed will be fitted to my LX Torana in a restro mod build next year.
Upgraded ECU being fitted next. I like the Haltech GM unit but still doing some homework.
