Hello guys well here is a bit of a write up about my 79 vb commodore which i purchased in bog stock condition 4 years ago!!!!!!.. It was a original vb green 202 powered commy with beige interior. To keep costs down i tackled all of the work myself in the garage with help from the missus and kids ...
Everything to do with the car was made by myself and a few mates, The VB was stripped down and painted MIDNIGHT BLUE ,
Interior was also done at home full black interior consists of Black bucket seats,Alloy half cage,RPM harnesses,B&M megahifter,Black carpet,Suede hoodling,Suede door trims,Custom made stainless scuff panels
Stereo inside cabin has Kenwood Head Unit ,4" kenwood speakers up front 6" kenwood in the rear parcel shelf.Boot install was done by myself also which has the roll cage continue through to boot,Relocated battery,2 12"sony xplod subs and a Kenwood Cass D mono amp.. Boot install i think looks really cool!!!! Battery is mounted in a stainless box between the roll bars.....
Engine: The tired old 202 was removed for a warmed up red 308 backed by a turbo350 which connects to a 10bolt salsibury....Engine bay was smoothed over and painted.Imade custom stainless pieces for the bay which inc:strut tops,chassis covers,washer bottle,overflow bottle,radiator covers.... 650 double pumper,2"spacer with shotgun scoop also...
Suspension: Pedders all round superlows new shocks and springs,pedders adjustable panhard bar ,larger upgraded sway bars front and rear... All bushes replaced with nolethane itmes inc:sway bars upper and lower control arms, sway bar links rear control arms too...
Brakes: Standard for now 4 wheel disc brakes painted rotors and calipers hope to upgrade to big brake kit soon
Exterior: On the outside the car was smoothed over and painted in midnight blue ...This was my first paint job ever never sprayed before at all and im so happy with the way it turned out... The car has VH SLE bumpers front and rear with rear extensions too. I made up a alloy drop tank cover just for looks...
Wheels: 18:Speedy inferno rims wrapped in 235/40/18 inch tyres
overall i love this car its fully registered and mod plated and love to take the kids on cruises either with the car club or to car shows ...
