Purchased the car in April 2008 and 4 weeks later the turbo’s blew. Not a good start! Rebuilt turbos with standard ceramic wheels as I needed it back on the road. Only had 116,000km and I believe about 3 owners since being imported from Japan in early 2000’s.
When I bought the car it had terribly low suspension - even on the test drive it was scraping on normal roads. As a result most of the bushes were trashed and the camber was so bad it ate the tyres in about 5000km. Promptly lifted it to just a 2" drop from stock, comfortable and functional, then got the bushes sorted so it rides smoothly and, most importantly, straight. Tyres last a lot longer now.
Since 2010 the paint has been peeling under the sun, and I lost interest in modifying it until the paint was done. This was not rectified until May of 2013, when it was resprayed in Chlorophyll, a current Holden colour.
Now I have the bug again am planning more modifications, like front mount intercooler, piggyback ECU and tune & boost controller. Currently it naturally boosts to about 15psi, and a recent dyno run saw 280rwhp. The last drag run was a few years ago, resulting in a 13.88 @ 100mph, with boost cut, which has since been fixed, so I plan on another run when the 2013/14 season starts before I start modifying more.
