History
I bought this car from a seller at the Campbelltown Swap Meet (in Adelaide) in 1979. I paid $100 for it, and left it at my Sister's house in Christies Beach for a couple of years. It was a bit of a basket case, having been an old stock car in the 60s. It had been channeled, the rear was all smashed in and had been rolled. It took me 10 years to build, while I was still in the Navy. It was first registered in 1990 after about 2 or 3 years of running on permits in NSW, ACT and Adelaide.
I sold the car to an Addelaide Hotrodders member at the Geelong Nationals in 1999. It is still registered and being driven on the streets of Adeliade today (as far as I know).
This will always be my favourite car of all time.
Modifications
302W (I went through 4 of these engines in the 20 years I drove it), C4, Cusso diff, buggy springs on split wishbones front and rear. Chopped 4 inches, channeled 14 inches.
