History
The vehicle was used in the army and was based in Keswick barracks, Adelaide, SA. Before it was sold off in 1960. The Ute was used as a farm Ute for many years before being sold to and making its way to penrith Nsw. We purchased the Ute in 2013 and restored to it original glory having it ready for its first showing at the FJ FX nationals in Cooma, Nsw on the 29th dec 22.
Modifications
The Ute was restored exactly to army specifications as provided by the Australian army to General Motors Holden.
Specifications include:
Safety mesh on back windscreen and rear panels.
Flip down seat in rear for 3 soldiers.
Canvas canopy with D broad arrow D markings to signify department of defence.
Painted Tactical signs and markings including the south Australian magpie military district sign & Adelaide rifles infantry battalion sign.
Windscreen drip moulding.
No chrome exterior and radio delete interior.
