History
Produced by Officine Benelli purely for export, the 175 was never marketed in Italy where only a 125 version was available. A 1972 build badged as a 1974 model, it was originally sold by major US dealer Cosmopolitan Motors. This bike was traced as being for sale on the Space Coast of Florida in 2015 and since brought to Australia by a classic bike importer. I purchased the bike in 2020.
Modifications
Full bare metal restoration included complete engine/gearbox rebuild, repaint, electrics, etc. Mismatched rims replaced with new Italian 18"chrome steel shod with Mitas Classic rubber. Race plate number '27' signifies a tribute to 1927 and the first win of an Italian national title for Benelli
