History
Produced by Ducati in response to a demand from major US importer/distributor Bernliner, the Monza Junior was intended as a "college kid commuter" smaller version of the larger Monza models. This Junior was one of only 32 imported into Australia in 1969. Having passed through various owners it was purchase in 2007. Painted yellow and with an odd mix of parts including a Japanese front end and wheels, restoration to current form with correct Ducati parts and period color scheme was completed over a period of years.
Modifications
Conversion to a "speciale" included single seat, rear set folding pegs to accommodate kick starter (left hand side), conversion of heel/toe gear shift (right hand side) with 1 up / 3 down pattern to more conventional single pedal 1 down / 3 up pattern.
