My father bought this car in 1959 changed registration papers in 1960 and just he and I are the only drivers since purchase. I last drove this car into Dad's garage in 1967 and has not moved since I built a garage last year 2024 and removed it from the old family home to my garage where I commenced the restoration process. I have all of the official paper work including reg' transfer papers, Registration renewals up until dad surrendered the plates to the Registration Depertment in 1967'ish After sitting on a dirt floor in a cement sheeting garage it has some under-body rust (Sills etc) but is overall in very good condition. Tyres still hold air even after sitting flat for more than 60 years, tank still nearly full of "Leaded" petrol, perfectly clean, no sign of rust/water when drained mid 2024.
Modifications
Only two modifications were made to this vehicle since original purchase, 1/. was the addition of a Tow Bar and 2/. the front "Bench" type seat was converted to lay down profiding a "double bed" upon which Mum and Dad would sleep when we all went camping. Kids sleeping in caravan or tent.
