History
Believed to be four owner car. Original motor, which had been restored, resprayed metallic blue and had new interior in mid 2000s. I have owned since 2012 and have focussed on improving performance, handling and driveability.
I have had great help from Patrick, Sean, Sean and Curtis at Valiance in South Melbourne. They are not cheap, but they do high quality work and are focussed on a great customer outcome.
Modifications
Mildly worked motor: Electronic ignition, Holley 350 carb, shaved head with inserts for unleaded petrol 9:1 compression (alleged, not yet tested), extractors into twin system. Lowered 1.5 inches, front and rear sway bars added, with reworked rear springs . Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dog wheels - 18 x 7 front and 18 x 18 rear. Replaced more parts than can poke a stick at; alternator, steering box, shockers and rubber all round, horn, heater, locks and keys, rebuilt steering column, brake booster, brake master cylinder, new drums and shoes and front caliper rebuild, re-cored radiator, re-chromed bumpers. RetroSound radio, Focal amp and Pioneer speakers, with excellent kick panel speaker mounts from GRPS in Gippsland and Dynamat throughout. Auto Meter retro style tacho. New seat belts (old style not retractors), resprung front bench seat, jewelled steering wheel, custom boot lining with Chrysler logo. Little bits of rust (usual Val spots - corner of doors, dog leg, bottom of boot lid) all cut out and repaired. Paint by BBC Paint in South Melbourne.
