History
This is one of three Nissan Bluebirds built for Group C racing between 1981 and 1984, this car was number 2 built using a Japanese body, running IRS and intercooled Z18 Engine, the cost of building and developing these cars was said to be over a $1,000,000 back in 1981. Thus very little of a standard road car has been used. Noteworthy for being the first Turbo car to race in ATCC and 1st Japanese car the beat the local Fords and Holdenâs these cars were the beginning of the Nissan racing dominance in Touring cars that would come till the change to V8 touring cars in the 90’s. Raced regularly in historic Group C.
