History
This 1998 105 Series Toyota Land Cruiser was a six year project car completed by Spartan Performance in WA. Many refer to the build as a “Dubai Spec Build” as it’s built for 1000hp and ready to tackle any sand dune!
Modifications
Engine:
- 4.8 litre Nitto stroker forged pistons, I beam rods. Rotating assembly balanced to 8500rpm
- Brand new factory Toyota heam, Ferrea valves – turbo application.
- Brian cower cams, Brian crower valve springs, Titanium valve retainers.
- Racing crown adjustable cam gear
- Upgraded timing chain with ratchet adjuster.
- G42-1200 turbo powder coated front housing.
- Hydro dipped rocker cover(carbon fibre look) -10an fittings for catch can
- Custom made with hypertune 347 stainless bends
- Turbo smart OPR (oil pressure regulator) for oil feed to turbo.
- Twin Progate 45’s.
- 5” dump pipe into a custom 4” system all stainless and vbands.
- Plazmaman intake manifold.
- Plazmaman boost clamps.
- DBW throttle body.
- Shaun custom alloy catch can.
- Hypertune intercooler 100 thick core capable to support 1500Hp.
- Fuel system is a process west surge tank with twin walbro 465’s feed a plazmaman fuel rail and -8 feed lines.
- FPR2000 Turbosmart fuel pressure regulator.
- 1650cc injectors.
- Engine has all new genuine water pump, oil pump, thermostats and gaskets.
- All fluid lines are braided stainless steel.
- New PWR alloy radiator.
- Haltech Nexus R5, Can key pad, 8 EGTS, NTK windband sensor ICC haltech Dash, Flex fuel.
Transmission:
- 4L80e built with upgraded main shaft.
- Low ratio first and second gear.
- Upgraded clutches.
- Trans is built to handle 1500hp
- Torque converter is a twin plate lockup clutch again built to handle 1000hp locked.
- Uses a B&M Stealth shifter to select gears.
- TruCool 4k Cooler & Dearle 37 Row with a thermo fan.
- All fluid lines are braided stainless steel.
Transfer case:
- Low range ratios installed and fully rebuilt with new bearings.
- Mark part time kit installed and uses Aisin hubs.
Diffs:
- Front diff has a Spartan mechanical locker and Aisin hubs.
- TJM pro locker & new Terrain Tamer 4.3 gears. Solid spacer.
Suspension & Tyres:
- 3” King spring lift lift
- Kings shocks, king steering damper & front king hydro bumps.
- Super hyper flex arms. All Suspension components are superior all new.
- KMC machete wheels
- 35” open country RT’s tyres.
Body and other:
- Full redone leather interior with diamond stitch.
- Camry Sportivo steering wheel.
- Hurricane fabrication storage in the tail gate.
- 4” snorkel
- OTF (On Track fabrication) Front and rear bars and custom sliders.
