History
Bell (as I have astutely named her) was purchased last year in honor of my father. He was an avid motor vehicle enthusiast and raced & restored cars for most of his life. Sadly he passed away suddenly in Jan 2018. I have a photo of my dads from the 70s and it has three cars in it. A Morris Minor (which I have one of those as well) a Hillman Imp (one day will add that to my collection) and a Chevy Bel Air.
It seemed like fate when a friend told me that she knew someone who was selling their 57 Chevy Bel Air Sports Sedan. It was love at first sight. She was rough, but had good bones, so over the winter of 2019, she underwent mechanical and cosmetic restoration work. There is still much more to do to her, but over time, I plan to bring her back to her former glory, with a few modern touches.
Bell is very photogenic and is often seen cruising around Adelaide with her friends. She is my connection to my father and I feel very blessed to be the owner of such a stunning vehicle.
