History
I fell in love with and purchased ‘Basil’ my 1961 ford prefect last year. My prefect was fully restored in 2019 and took 4 years of hard work and many tears according to Joe (original owner). Basil is a 107E. Four speed manual with top speed of 117kms per hour although I have never take him over 100 on the freeway for fear of getting blown away. Basil is stock standard and thus far I have only detailed the engine bay, sprayed and carpeted the boot. Basil came second at the recent Geelong all ford day for best ford prefect. I was over the moon. A very tidy stock standard little old car that doesn’t miss a beat. Basil attracts lots of attention wherever we go.
