History
This particular AP6 has only had mudflaps and a tow bar fitted from new. No exterior mirrors, no windscreen washers, no heater, no seatbelts, no radio, still has the origin vinyl flooring in excellent condition. Original owner worker at Chrysler, he apparently followed the car along the production line as it was built after he had ordered it. He covered the floors in carpet, apparently only travelled to Melbourne once with the whole family in the late sixties, apart from travelling to work and locally. Apparently the only time the tow bar was used was once a year to go and collect a trailer load of grapes to make home made vino. He apparently drove the car until he lost his licence in his early 90’s, after that it stayed parted in his shed until he died. His son registered it, but didn’t keep the original SA white on black numerical plates, and put it on standard plates prior my purchase. Since I have owned the car, the front seat has been reupholstered and front suspension replaced and a major service undertaken.
