History
It rolled out of the Adelaide factory a White 1982 commercial with a factory 253 V8 trimatic, 10 bolt salisbury 3.36 ratio diff. A rare spec as most customers opted for the Kingswood if they wanted the V8. Its since had a 308 with TH350 added with air conditioning from a statesman and a gas tank fitted.
I bought this ute as a challenge to myself to start learning some different skills. These at the time were cheap, easy to restore, plenty of spares and after market parts to make the restoration simple.
Modifications
Since then the project has turned into a complete nut and bolt restoration and now it's emerging with a different colour and engine package. The whole thing is recorded on youtube and is on it's 4th year of production under the profile Barnesys Builds. A marathon in itself! Hope to be completed by end of 2022.
