On the 9/12/2020 I traded in our white coloured 2013 HYUNDAI Sante Fe Elite SUV for this beauty of a Ford Dual Cab Ute. I needed a ute to move around my 1960 Ford Zephyr Zodiak Mk 2 and it's various parts as I restore the #oldfordfella but I also had to cater to my family so this is the perfect blend of both worlds, i.e. work ute and family car.
The Ranger had just over 120,000 km on the clock but I actually spoke to the previous owner who stated he and his wife travelled around Australia for 5 years towing a caravan and the vehicle and has not been on any real off road adventures. It shows because it is in great condition for a 5 year vehicle. The previous owner put nearly every accessory known to Ford Rangers on this ute, including but not limited to a tub liner, second battery under the rear seat to operate the Anderson Plug near the Ford Tow Bar, Safety Tech. Pack, colour coded Bullbar and lockable Hardtop tonneau cover.
Modifications
I added a tinted Bonnet Protector with RANGER sticker as there were a few stone chips in the lower bonnet, a set of four tinted slimline weather shields, fitted Ford all weather rubber mats and a dash mat because the glare was too much for my sensitive eyes.
I've also put a second hand set of double King's Drawers and Fridge slide in the back.
Lastly but not least, I purchased a 1 year old iDrive 'Throttle Controller' which got rid of the acceleration lag and has made driving the 'old oiler' a much better adventure.
