Classified by CAMS as a Group Na pre’58 Classic Saloon. Issued with CAMS Historic Log Book on 19th July 1995. First Na car to be log booked.
Car has been run at Amaroo Park, Eastern Creek, Oran Park GP, Oran Park South, Queensland Raceway and Wakefield Park in races for Historic Group N / Appendix J.
Winner of CAMS NSW State Motor Racing Championship for Group Na in 1999.
Car has been run in Supersprints at Amaroo Park, Oran Park South and Wakefield Park.
Car has been run in Historic Hillclimb at Bathurst and has run at Guyra Grand Parade, and, GEAR events at Oran Park South and Wakefield Park.
Modifications
Engine capacity increased to 1533cc with single 1 ¼ SU converted to twin 1 ½ SU and polarity changed to negative earth.
Full roll cage installed, plus original bench seat replaced by high back race seat with 5-point harness for driver and original period seat for passenger.
Fuel cell placed in boot but original fuel tank retained as dummy, front sway bar added and wheel width increased to 5 inch on custom made steel wheels.
