History
The car was my fathers car out in central Queensland in the sixties
He used it to travel from town to his work on various properties
After he passed away, our neighbour purchased the car from the family
The car sat in a shed in the neighbours property until late 2000, even though I had tried to purchase it back many times before that
I was living in brisbane when the neighbour advised that I could pick up the Ute
Unfortunately by then the car had plenty of rust to the bottom of the body from sitting in the black soil
Back in brisbane I stripped the car down and got the panels sand blasted and primed, have repaired to chassis
I have not done any work on the car for last 4-5 years as I gave the engine to a mechanic who closed up shop and I was unable to make contact with him. I finally tracked him down and got the engine back a couple of months ago in the same state I gave it to him 5 years ago
Happy to have the motor back and now iam ready to start again
In the new year will look for engine rebuilder and start work on the body
Cheers allan
