History
Said to be the first 250 production bike that would do a ton. It came after the B40. (Not my picture, by the way - the only one I could find is attached somewhere but not very informative)
Modifications
Oil leaks were always an issue with British bikes. I had the idea in '75 of replacing the head gasket with silicone bath sealant. Little did I know that silicon sealant flows under pressure, and as the head came down it pushed the silicone into the oil return channels in the cylinder head. I found that out at the same time as trying to make sure the bike could do 100 mph. There was a bang, the back wheel stopped turning, I skidded somewhat; and built up useful skills needed when I had similar responses from my MZ and BMW R65.
