There are basically two types of MHRs.
Type 1 is the limited edition 1979 model of which only 200 were made.
These are special because like the 1969 Sandcast Honda CB750 K0, the 1979 MHR launched Ducatis most popular Bevel model.
The 1979 features the following "prototype parts" that weren't carried forward to the 6,000 later bikes that had production parts.
-Magnesium wheels - same brand as Mike Hailwood raced with at the 1978 IoM TT. (all others have aluminium wheels)
-One piece fairing
-One piece single seat
-Prototype steel fuel tank.
