History
Purchased new in Perth by the WA Department of Mineralogy, our Australian assembled car was well equipped with a canvas back, utility cabin with tropical roof and roof rack, oversize tyres and three spares, sun visor, dual wipers and a series of minor but useful mechanical upgrades, which allowed it to traverse the roughest and most remote parts of West Australia. A neatly completed logbook recorded every item of work carried out on the car between 1964 and 2015, and it was obviously carefully maintained and cherished by its second owner, John Walton, who purchased it in about 1968 and kept it for the rest of his life. We are the third owners and the car has just undergone a careful refurbishment, taking care to preserve its originality. The original paintwork has been touched in, new seats and hood are fitted and the electrical and mechanical parts have received a thorough check and overhaul, and all are in excellent condition. The car is now in use at our animal sanctuary in Braidwood NSW.
