History
When the family arrived in Canberra in 1968, two cars were waiting for us; the Datsun being one of them. It’s original status was a member of the Diplomatic Corpse. In 1971 the ‘68 was upgraded to another 1600 and I bought the ‘68 for (ironically) $1600.
This remained my one and only car until 2009 when it was decided to perform a ground-up rejuvenation. In April 2021 I once again sat behind the wheel. It was always my daily drive and will remain so for the future.
