History
This vehicle, a 1967 MGB, was purchased by me, in Geelong in about 1981, when I was 16 years old. (I am now 57) I didnt even have a drivers license at purchase time, and I recall my father sending me off to work in a local factory on school holidays, and weekends to pay for the purchase of this machine.
Owning this has generally been a lifelong enduring project for me, with my main aim being to aviod the use of professionals to make good the vehicle on both an ongoing, and restoration basis. So everyting you see on these photos, is work done by me. From a full body rebuild, incuding paintwork, to the full interior upgrade of last year (2022) where i underwent a full replacement of all interior components and finishes.
Mechanically, i have kept this machine running well since purchase, and my son and daughter, who are now in their late teens are now showing substantial interest in this machine.
Modifications
No modifications have been made to this Vehicle. She is generally in quite original condition, and for an amateur who has worked on the vehicle myself for the past 42 years, it is quite impressive in appearance.
Please be advised that this vehicle is not perfect, and is certainly not something that should be compared to a full professional rebuild, but should be looked upon as an enthusiasts best efforst over an extended peroid, where the final outcome, many years after restoration is still a vehicle that attracts much attention and is quite impressive in appearance.
