History
One of only two 101-series Giulia Sprints with an AR 38xxxx chassis number instead of the normal AR 35XXXX. Delivered to K N Rudd Limited, Sussex, UK (also known as Ruddspeed - tuners of AC Aces etc) in February 1963. Ruddspeed were Alfa factory-approved to do LHD-to-RHD conversions. However, recent evidence strongly indicates the car was a factory RHD build - although no Giulietta or Giulia Sprints were supposed to have been made in RHD. From UK to Australia sometime prior to 1966. First owner unknown. Second owner, Jim West, purchased it secondhand from Geoghegan & Sons, Ashfield late in 1966. Then owned by Brian Foley until ca. 1975, followed by Mike Dangar, Kingsley Blunsden and, for the second time, Jim West, before current owner purchased it in 2008.
Modifications
Repainted in Rosso Alfa in a 1980s restoration. Fitted with twin-Weber 105-series 1600 (1570 cc) engine in the 1980s (original engines were similar but had a single Solex carb).
