History
I wanted a Ranger but the wife took one look at the Cummins badge on the door and that pretty much decided it - we got this Chilux. It helped that the dealer was keen to move it off the lot and cut us a deal you would not believe but ultimately I wasn't happy with having a Chinese 4x4 ute. That's until after the first trip out west to collect my old HR ute from a cattle property and the Tunland earned my respect. It's now my daily driver and I couldn't be happier with it. Sure it's got more plastic in it than the world's oceans, when it's idling it sounds more agricultural than an old Massey Ferguson, and when people ask you what it is and you say "Foton Tunland" they look at you like you just rooted their cat, but it's a great truck. I'll probably buy another one just to keep this one on the road and transplant the second Cummins ISF engine into the HR ute I towed home with it.
Modifications
