I bought this little ripper in 1990 for $2500 in Windsor (Brisbane) just after I got out of the Army. My then-girlfriend and I drove all over the place in it for a while then stopped at Taree for a few months, where that pic was taken.
When I got back to Brisbane I sold it to my employer at the time for $500, who then fired me because it was rusty as hell.
The only Ford I've ever owned, and one of the few cars that I'd buy back if I found it again.
Modifications
This little ripper got a mild-cam, a Weber carb and tuned extractors. It sounded great and went like a shower of sh!t up to about 140km/hr when it started gasping. It came to me with the Centrelines on it, otherwise I'd have opted for the Cosworth-style rally wheels.
