History
Built entirely from scratch over a period of a couple of years in my "spare time", It has a square steel tube chassis based on a Riley Brooklands Speed model in approx 1/3 scale. The body is aluminium paneling with an operational bonnet with the offset hinge line peculiar to the Brookers. Braking is by Hydraulic discs mounted on both the front wheels with a single inboard disc on the solid rear axle. Steering via a Datsun Bluebird steering column.
The cart has had a couple of trips to the annual Kalorama Rally and has competed twice at Rob Roy hill {descent}.
first outing gaining an unofficial 2nd. but returning next year to go one place better in the capable hands of my grand-daughter.
Eventually, it is planned to complete the ensemble with cycle guards to the original style, and to fit lights, trim, and other details.
