History
By 2006, 172,000 Monsters had been sold. Under the new head of
product development, Caudio Domenicali, the Monster range became more focused on the aggressive sporting SR series, or ‘single-sided swingarm’ family. This saw the range of SR Monsters grow to include the Testastretta-powered S4RS, the most powerful Monster yet. For the first time the highest specification current Superbike engine appeared in the Monster.
