History
The original owner of the car lived in Vic and was an elderly man, he had owned it from new and had it for some 30 years taking excellent care of it until he sadly passed away, with the family having no interest in keeping the car they offered it to the mechanic who had serviced it its entire life. He passed on the offer but mentioned it to his apprentice. His apprentice accepted the vehicle with plans of making it a project car and turning it into a tough street car. After the car sitting there for awhile untouched and wanting to move interstate he put the car up for sale as an unlicensed runner.
As i live in W.A. I saw the car over the internet only having a few pictures to go on, so i made a couple of phone calls to find out a few more details i was really keen, but I was a little weary but taking the the owner on his word i took the plunge, shelling out just a fraction over $1000. I purchased the vehicle off internet sight unseen, viewed from pictures only, making me the 3rd owner of the car. So sent dad ( Who lives in Vic) to collect the the car and house it till i could get it over (and tell the Missus)
The car sat there untouched in a garage for about 2 years before i had it shipped over and when car arrived i was delightfully surprised. Car was very clean and straight with interior in immaculate condition. The original owners manual, job cards and full service history were in glove box confirming previous owners story. Now i thought i'd had a win so far so i would try for a little more, after putting a new battery in and fresh fuel i turned the key and she started like a dream. I could not believe my luck. So now after doing a few minor wiring repairs and replacing all fluids, and little bits & pieces its now licensed and running in all her glory and does not miss a beat.
