History
This MGA is the 116th of just 148 Australian assembled MGA 1600 Mk II cars, one of the second last shipment of MGAs to Australia from the UK.
I found this MGA unadvertised and "quietly resting" under the home of the then owner, Brian Barford, and was the seventeenth MGA Brian had owned. Brian had lost his sight from macular degeneration and could no longer drive.
The car was in the process of being steadily sorted and improved when an accident caused by a lady indicating "left" and turning "right" resulted in an unplanned premature total body restoration, done immaculately.
Since then the interior has been professionally re-trimmed and I've fitted an original style heater.
Totally sorted and completely reliable, this MGA is a wonderful car to drive. I simply find it impossible to wipe the silly grin off my face when out and about in this wonderful piece of "art-deco on wheels".
