History
This Oldsmobile is the only one in Australia. In absolute original and beautiful condition. A couple of very minor blemishes. Nothing on that car had been changed or altered. I purchased the car with 38k on the clock. It was originally owned by a high ranking officer in the US Army, based at Fort Leavenworth, the American Military Prison. He was getting shipped to Europe. Took the car to GM in Kansas, where they changed the instrument panel to litre & km. Put the distance to the correct km's. The officer then was NOT shipped to Germany.
The car was sold to a guy in Melbourne. He had the car for 20 years and drove it only twice. It was stored in a Mazda Melbourne dealership for those 20 years. I purchased the car and drove it back to the Gold Coast, via 3 days in Sydney. Surprisingly, it was a very economical car. 13.4 ltr/100 km. Not bad for a big motor and heavy car. But what a joy to drive and ride in. First class comfort. Everybody loved it and it was a head turner !! The car was on the world wide registration for that year/model, and it was 1 of 84 cars left on the road world wide. I also had the original Build Sheet in perfect condition, and the only one known of. That's history right there on that piece of paper. I reluctantly sold the "BEAST" as it was known, and have missed it ever since. sob sob sob.
