History
I bought it sight unseen from WA in December 2018. It was originally a 2.4 manual and was rebuilt in the 1990s by a retired mechanic as a "Coombs replica" and is badged as a 3.8 MK2. The body is straight but the paint is well used. I have been advised to leave the car as is to preserve the spirit in which it was rebuilt. It drives well and has fantastic handling characteristics. She sounds gorgeous under load as well. Soon after purchase I discovered a slipping clutch which explains why I got it so cheaply. Had to have the engine out for a new one at great expense as I had no means to do it myself. I have used it at a GEAR event at Lakeside and will continue to "play" with it at a Gentlemanly pace
