History
I purchased the panel van and restored it over a 6 year period with a lot of help from hubby and friends. With a lot of headaches along the way I finally got it registered and was able to enjoy some much-needed cruising. Eventually I re-done the interior and I was content with the end result.
I entered the WA Panel Van State Titles 2022 hoping I would at least get top interior and top 10 and much to my surprise I walked away with a swag of trophies inclusive of Overall Winner, Top Custom Van, Top Interior, Top Ten, People's Choice and Top Ten overall of Max Pinjarra Show.
I then went on to feature in Street machine Iron Maiden October 2022 edition which was the cherry on the pie for me.
Ending 2022 at Christmas time I spent 5 weeks promoting a Christmas toy run for Vanners for Variety raising money and putting together $1200 worth of toys for Variety WA. That's a lot of toys and certainly filled the back of the panel van well and truly. I was awarded best vehicle on the day by Variety WA.
Modifications
Running a worked186 with a 5 speed supra gear box this little fun machine is punching 152 hp at the rear. Banjo diff with 3:9 gears. Holley 450 slayer quick fuel carb with a 1/2" spacer and Thompson Performance power blast plate. AS0002 Aussiespeed manifold. Aussie desert cooler street and strip aluminum with 14" high performance fan.
The rear ends with the sweet sound of a custom built 2.25" 304 stainless steel mandrel bend exhaust system.
Rims are billet Vista 5s. Rears 18 x 9.5 Fronts 17 x 6.
Paint is custom Phthalo Green.
Interior is finished with premier bucket seats, custom designed door trims, new carpet with sound deadener, custom stitching to gear boot and seat belt stalks. Quality soft feel material to the rear for a clean sleek look.
Polished with Swissvax for that overall shine and protection.
