History
We purchased this car back in 2010 from a sweet old lady in her 70’s who had owned her from new. We promised to take good care of her "Cecilia" and repair all the rust she had from a life in Scarborough.
Shortly after buying her we had some rust repairs done and a respray, tidy but nothing special. We started calling her Mumbleweed... Bumblebee’s "special" cousin.
Roughly a month ago Mumbleweed was involved in a small accident, which would have had her written off by any other insurer. Thanks to Shannons for understanding how much the car meant to us and Perth Smash Repair we had the damage repaired and decided to get a full respray while she was in surgery.
I received a call from a very excited Mick (Perth Smash Repair) telling me the car had just come out of the spray booth and I had to come see it! I was amazed by the shine and the pearl!! Photo’s struggle to do justice to the amazing paint job. The black stripes (with jagged edges, thanks Tim at M&J Signs for the stencils) change colour from black to green, to blue and almost white as you walk around the car.
We had planned to swap out the ever reliable 21R-C engine for something a little more powerful but now that she is looking so tidy I don’t think I could risk racing her. Time for a big stereo me thinks.
