History
Brought into Australia on 24 October 2007. I always wanted a Mustang Convertible and sold my EH LS1 that I built and my VH 308 to start looking for one in 2016. I was prepared to look across all of Australia, but after 2 months of looking on the internet, this one popped up 40 minutes away in Bungendore NSW. As soon as I saw the colours and scoops, I fell in love with it. The bonnet scoop has indicators I it which I upgraded to LEDs and got working, a nice view from inside.
Modifications
My work so far has been all about the mechanicals with a lot of money spent replacing the tired 351 and C6 with a built 351 and AODE 4 speed electronic gearbox. Mechanically, everything has been replaced or rebuilt, new wheels, tyres, motor, gearbox, truetrac 9" diff, dual circuit master cylinder and VH40 booster under the guard. Mechanically, the only original part is the handbrake cable, everything else is new. It has new drilled and slotted 320 mm BF Falcon Turbo Discs, BF calipers, rebuilt 9" diff with new drums (soon to be replaced with ED discs). Ice ignition and currently fitting MSd/Holley fuel injection and a 20 gallon tank with intank pump. The plan over the next 3 years is to convert it to RHD and then respray it in a brighter blue - grabber blue, however I just want to spend a year driving it first and enjoying it as it was off the road more than on the road after buying a crate engine from a company that 'shoots for the moon' which overheated for 3 years before seizing no 1 piston after only 2300 km, requiring a $7k rebuild. The laptop in the interior shot was being used to program the Quick 4 gearbox controller from the US which is fully controllable including allowing flappy paddles which I am currently installing.
