History
Bought an Fj in a dark carpark in Sydney for $1000 in 1998. Fairly rust free.
Bought a written off VN Calais V6 and fitted all the gear from it including the Calais climate control heater, dash, column, shifter and centre handbrake.
If you look at one of the pics you wills see the caravan we towed 6,000 km from Canberra to the Daintree (FNQ) and back when the car had been on the road for 6 weeks before it was even finished in 2001. On the 6 week road trip we'd pass Landcruiser’s towing vans uphill, and pull into the next town for fuel or a caravan park and they'd come over and want me to pop the hood as they couldn't believe how easy I'd pass them.
A lot of ladies commented how they loved the Bellflower Blue paint job.
My Ex was embarrassed as every time we went anywhere we got waves all the time. AT first she said 'what are they waving at' but eventually she tired of commenting and just accepted that it as unique to see a nice FJ with mags towing a van.
