History
In 1986 approximately I purchased this Bright Red ZF Fairlane with a mildly worked 302 Cleveland and C4 auto , I owned this car for about 3 years it was one of the more favorite cars that I have owned , It wasn't until I twisted the chassis being a typical teenager that it was destined for the scrap heap , However the running gear did live to see another day in my next project , An XA replica GT 2 door coupe .
Modifications
The Fairlane had a mildly worked 302 Cleveland and C4 auto , It had 14x8 twelve slotters on the front and 14x10 custom made twelve slotters on the rear running Bridgestone Eagers all round , I blacked out the grill and tinted the headlight covers which gave it a very tough look I thought , I liked the XU1 front stone trays so I fabricated a larger version for the Fairlane and also a polished stainless drop tank style fuel tank cover .
