History
The evening before my 22 anniversary , I said to my wife, I’m going to take tomorrow off work , lets go for a cruise to Nannup & surrounding areas for a bopeep. I whent back into my office like every night , for the past 15 years, to check listings if any, for a 1946 chevy coupe ute, in WA.
Could not believe it , 1 listed in Autotrader, I scrolled down to see location, The owner lived in Busselton, I live in West Busselton, Your kidding. Jumped on the dog n bone , He had just sold a property & did not have room for it at his new Busselton property, The vehicle was still at his sold property in , yes you guessed it NANNUP, 65 km away. We arrived promptly the next day to inspect the ute, What a Gem.
When the owner opened his project scrap book up to show me what he had done & spent on her , The very frrst entry on the Chev was, Purchased From, Andrew Moir, My dads cousin, & uncle to one of my good mates in Albany, Small world , We where able to purchase the ute because my wife had writen off her car & we had just recieved the insurance pay out, 1 week prior
Modifications
So far not a lot , Stripped out the cab , Shortened the bed by putting new upright cab bed divider , so now have parcel space behind bucket seats inside cab, Installed new alloy fuel tank , v8 ready. Then the GFC hit.
The dream is to install new boxed, bagged chassis, 383 stroker crewman cross 8 running gear, auto , just a nice cruiser.
