Purchased new in 1976 from Ballan Holden Werribee for $7000 using a 1969 LC Torana as a trade-in. The non-standard blackout treatment was added by the dealer. The TV show Starsky and Hutch was very popular at the time. I traded the car for peanuts on an Escort panel van around 1981 during the first ’fuel crisis’ when petrol hit 45 cents per litre. It seemed like a good move at the time. I believe that the SS was destined for the Albury area - perhaps someone recalls it?
Modifications
Mags wheels, Mallory twin point distributor and super coil, and a Craig Davis electric cooling fan.
