History
I bought this bike NEW on 31 - 03 - 2015 (3 days before Easter) This bike is NEW, and was old stock, so I got it at a GREAT price. RRP was $15990.00 + on roads. I got it ride away for $13490.00 from Ultimate Kawasaki in Moss St Underwood Qld. There was an online deal from NSW for this bike delivered but not on road for $12890.00 but I didn't have the time and trailer to mess around with the on road side so I talked Ultimate into a deal.
I have owned MANY bikes in my 52 years including the Ducati 1098 you see on my past page. But to describe this bike in one word... SPECTACULAR!
It seems to do everything brilliantly. Its a great commuter, It's a very comfortable tourer and magnificent in the hinterland.
Road bikes I have owned since I was 16yo.
1 Kawasaki z 500 ( My first road bike and my first 4 stroke)
2 Kawasaki z 750 L1
3 Kawasaki z 750 L2
4 Kawasaki GPZ 750r A6 (As per Top Gun)
5 Kawasaki GPZ 750 Turbo (Mates bike on loan for 1 year as he was over seas on deployment)
6 Kawasaki GPZ 900r
7 Suzuki GSXR 750wp... yes you read correct its a Suzuki and not a Kawasaki... I loved to ring this bikes neck. It was so predictable at ALL times.
8 Ducati 1098 WOW!
9 Kawasaki Ninja 1000
This list is not including the MANY trail/Motocross/Enduro bikes I owned as well.
Modifications
When I got this bike home I took my E46 BMW out of the garage, placed the bike on front and rear stands and stripped it.
At this time it had 16Klm on the clock.
I changed the exhaust to a twin sport muffler setup from S.P. Engineering from the UK. They are called "Stubby Big Bore" exhaust mufflers.
It also fitted the F1 light module as the flapper valve was removed with the original exhaust.
I applied Fluro Red (Moto Inkx) rim tape... That was 2.5 hours of fun...
I added Red anodized shortie leavers with gold adjusters, Tank cap bolts, Bar end Mirrors, Oil filler cap, Rear bobbins, Front axle sliders, Front and rear brake master cylinder caps, Screen bolts, Number plate bolts and dash cover bolts.
Not to forget the black and gold clutch cable adjuster
Front and rear brake master cylinder protective "Ninja" socks
I applied the "Kawasaki" decal the lower pan and the "Kwikasfuki" decal to the rear swing arms.
I modified the original tail and created my own custom tail tidy utilizing the original indicators and mounts and the number plate light.
Shogun frame sliders from the USA.
Dark tinted Zero Gravity bubble screen.
"Ninja" mirror blank off plates for a Ninja 636
Genuine "Isle of Man TT" Gel tank protector. (this matches my Isle of Man TT Mick Dohan Helmet)
Motion detect security system with full satellite tracking and microphone with sms capabilities.
GPT 3000 plug-n-play gear indicator with shift light.
K&N oil and air filters.
Before delivery I had Ultimate Kawasaki fit a Michilin Pilot road 4 190/55 on the rear.
And last but not least a charging port for the Ctek battery charger
All this work was completed by Easter Sunday when the above photo's were taken.
On the 25th of June it is going in to have the baffle box removed from the exhaust and then be dyno tuned.
