History
Now were talking!
This is my third bike and my first 4 stroke and my first road bike.
My older brother (Dean) was looking at one of these Kwaka's but changed his mind because he didnt like the salesman, and whent and bought a Yamaha SR500 single. (Dick Head) He regretted that move for years. Just change dealers thats all he needed to do. I did. My salesman was great.
Now we have a learning curve all over again.
On my way home from picking this bike up I thought it had developed an engine problem. I could hear this horific noise but it took me a while to workout were this noise was coming from.
It was coming from the 2 stroke bike riding next to me... LOL
In just a few short kilometers I had become acustomed to the smothness and the blissfull silence of the inline four stroke engine.
Is there any going back now?
Stay tuned for the next exciting addition to my list of toys.
This may have been just a 500cc bike but it was a giant killer. I would ride out to Birdwood, head south, then back to Adelaide via Lobethal.
If youve never ridden these roads on a "sports Bike" you need to find a way.
I would be passing CBR 750's, 900's GS1000's etc through the twisties and they could do nothing about it until the staights... Then I was in trouble.
But in the corners this little 500 was outstandingly good. (for its year) Remeber this is the 80's
I upgraded this bike to 750cc after about 2.5 years.
Modifications
Only Mods I did on this bike was a Bikini faring and bar end mirrors.
I was using Pirelli Phantoms back then.
