History
Purchased second hand in 2013, and have been slowly bringing it back to glory. An ex-trade vehicle it has a few bumps and bruises but it's a work in progress.
Trying to keep it generally stock as the way Holden wanted, with minor improvements on Holden's perfect design.
Way I see it, it's easy to modify a car, it's far more difficult to keep it stock. And in 30 years when all of the VY's are wrapped around trees or modified beyond recognition, there will need to be some for the people that got their licence in one - like me.
Take it to a few ute musters and car shows every now and then.
Last October my partner and I drive to Elizabeth, South Australian, to participate in the Holden Dream Cruise. This was a 10km parade with more than 1200 other Holden built vehicles around the Elizabeth district, to commemorate the closure of the Holden Manufacturing Operations plant, and the end of Australian vehicle manufacturing. The 3200km round trip was well worth this amazing experience and the opportunity to take my Ute back to it's build place.
