History
Bought as a wreck in the early 90’s Rebuilt & used as a daily driver & club car. Competed in mororkana’s, s, sprints & hill climbs. Also used for many interstate trips. Competed in the fiat nationals at Bathurst in 2005, winning the 1300 class in the hill climb after having driven up from Melbourn & back again after in 40 plus degree heat with no problems. Has been capable of giving the odd impressa a hard time in the twisty bits. 128’s are so under rated, most people who have driven average ones just done realise how much better & how much quicker they can be with the right attention.
Modifications
1300, high comp forged pistons (10.8-1)
Ported & flowed head with bigger inlet valves.
35/75 wade cam, twin 40 IDF webbers, Ansa extractors & 2 inch free flow exhaust.
Marelli electronic distributor.
Estimate around 120/125 bhp & rev to over 8000 easily
Koni sports & discs all round, control arms polly bushed all round. Altered camber & caster. Strutt brace & under engine bay brace.
Gemini progressive coils at front & 3 leaf sprin at rear. Flowfit seats & momo wheel.
