Welcome to The GT Club incorporated…
Our Club is a car club with a social outlook, providing an
avenue for likeminded people who share a passion and interest to
congregate and interact.
As a Club we cater for GT Falcons built between 1967 &
1976, hence the name “The GT Club”, that Golden era of high octane,
care free living which has an unmistakable Australian feel.
While we are The GT Club, and cater for GT Falcons 67-76, we
also acknowledge Ford’s marketing attempts at rekindling the fire
that was and is, GT to Australians.
Thus we accept as members Goss/Cobra Coupe’s, EB-EL GT’s,
TE-TS 50’s, BA, BF-GT-40, BF-GT Cobra FG-GT, GT-F. These cars, all
being produced in a limited run or as a special. As all GT
enthusiasts we await the GT-HO’s return.
We also accept as members, South African Fairmont GT’s XW-XY.
These are real GT’s just marketed in another country. The
differences are miniscule and they deserve to be included as GT’s.
We also accept Tribute class GT’s 67-76 these are effectively,
replica cars built to a high standard. They pay tribute to the
legend “The Grand Tourer”.Associate Class Vehicles are at the
committee’s discretion and are not GT Falcon’s but are vehicles of
the same great era or of significant interest.
Our Club is very proud to have Mr Fred Gibson as our club
Patron.Fred or “Smoking Fred Gibson” won Bathurst in 1967 in a
XR-GT, the first GT and drove a GT falcon at every Bathurst up to
and including 1976, so he is the most fitting person to be Patron of
“The GT Club.
So if you wish to be part of our club/family, download an
entry form or come along to one of our outings, and experience the
Family friendly atmosphere that exists in our club. Not just a boys
club, but real family interaction.
We are a non-judgmental club and do not make mandatory
inspections of vehicles. We are interested in meeting people and
seeing and talking about cars.So please accept our welcome and
visit us or our forum and decide for yourself if our club is one
that you would like to be part of.
