The Club's mission:
To bring together persons interested in the restoration and
preservation of all Ford V8, V12, 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder Side Valve
vehicles, passenger, utility, commercial, military, etc. built between
the years 1932 and 1954. These vehicles include the classic names of
Ford, Mercury, Lincoln, Single Spinner, Twin Spinner, Customline, and
Zephyr. We are the biggest Australian Early Ford V8 Club and operate
in a friendly and harmonious social atmosphere for the total enjoyment
of our common interest - we have fun! Owning a flathead Ford V8 is not
essential for membership or attending meetings.
About the Club:
The club is a proud member of the Early Ford V8 Club of America as
Regional Group No. 151 globally. It is one of 4 Early Ford V8 Clubs in
Australia (VIC, NSW, QLD, SA).
The Club participates in the biennual Early Ford V8 Nationals event
which is hosted by each Australian club on a rotating basis.
The Club jointly organises the highly successful Ford Flathead
Festival with 3 other Ford clubs- Ford Owners Restorers & Drivers
Club of Australia (FORDCA), Model 'A' Ford Club Of Victoria (MAFCA)
& The Model T Ford Club of Victoria (MTFCV). The event attracts a
wide variety of over 100 Ford flathead powered vehicles including
historic racing cars and hotrods.
The Club also organises a number of other in-house events.
Membership:
You do not need to own an early Ford side valve vehicle, merely have
an interest in promoting the mission of the club. This openness is
designed to encourage people who are thinking of obtaining such a
vehicle, as well as previous owners to participate and enjoy club activities.
