The Italian Made Social Motoring Club, (I.M.S.M.C.) was established
in February 2008 with a strong emphasis on family, friends and driving
Italian motor cars to and from places of common interest.
The aim of our club is to maintain the presence and awareness of all
classic, vintage, veteran and modern Italian motor cars as well as
historic Italian motorbikes and scooters on Australian public roads.
On a regular basis the club organises activities including; city and
country drives - static display days - fundraising - breakfast and
lunch drives - concourse events - weekends away - picnics - restaurant
and cafe dining - participation at Italian festivals.
As we are a social club, your friends and family are more than
welcome to join us in all activities. The club holds public liability
insurance which covers all financial members that participate in club events.
I.M.S.M.C. conforms to all current RMS legislation and is also
recognised by the RMS to offer member / driver participation in the
RMS's Historic Conditional Registration Scheme (HVS) and the
Conditional Vehicle Scheme (CVS) for any modified classic Italian
motor vehicle. The club also supports the RMS Logbook scheme.
A member must be the owner of an Italian motor car primarily, and can
participate in the Historic Vehicle Scheme (HVS) and Conditional
Vehicle Scheme (CVS), with their Italian motor car, motorbike or
scooter. The onus of proof of vehicle age shall be with the
applicant, however the final arbitrator shall be the club committee.
Under HVS only “period modifications” are allowed. For non period
modifications, members will be offered CVS, after obtaining a Blue
Slip from an authorised engineer.
