Originally established as "The Maserati Club of Australia
(NSW)" the Club was established in 1989 by an intrepid band of
Maseratisti at Toto's Pizzeria in the Sydney suburb of Five Dock. A
small band of Biturbo and GT owners sharing a mutual passion gathered
to create a forum to exchange ideas, enjoy good food and wine and
share their passion for the Trident.
Today the Club has just under 100 members from all around Australia.
Changing the name to "Club Maserati Australia" in 1994 to
reflect the direction the factory was taking with the Club network,
the Club has a strong cross representation of most of the models that
Maserati has produced. Club members experience a wide variety of
events, from social dinner gatherings to car focused events either
organised by the Club or at the invitation of other motoring groups.
The Club is an active participant in the motoring scene in Australia
through its affiliation with the Council of Motoring Clubs (CMC). In
addition, as an affiliate of the Confederation of Australian
Motorsport (CAMS), members have the opportunity to participate in
track events.
In 2001 the Club became affiliated with The Maserati Club (TMC),
becoming the seventh "Chapter" and second overseas
affiliated Club. This arrangement provides a significant boost to CMA
and provides members with access to a worldwide network of Maserati
experts and enthusiasts as well as the club publication “Il Tridente”.
CMA also maintains contact with Maserati clubs in South Africa, UK,
France, and Italy.
The Club committee meets on the first Saturday of each month with all
Club members welcome to attend - please contact one of the committee members.
