Conditional Registration Scheme
The historic vehicle conditional registration scheme is one of the great advantages of being a member of the Zephyr Zodiac Owners Club of NSW. The scheme is run in conjunction with the RTA. Members can register their vehicle under the Conditional Registration Scheme which provides limited usage of the vehicle for club organised events or for road testing up to 21kms to the vehicles usual place of garaging. The Zephyr Zodiac Owners Club holds regular monthly events where you can use your vehicle.
Vehicles registered under this scheme cannot be used as daily commuters to drive to work or for example to go down to your local shops for grocery shopping.
While there are strict limits on the use of vehicles in this scheme, the benefits to owners are considerably cheaper yearly registration fees and cheaper car insurance through one of the specialist classic car insurance companies.
To be eligible to operate under this scheme the vehicle must be 30 years old and as close to original specifications as possible with no modifications. Some period accessories may be acceptable.
The owner must also be a current financial member of our club.
